AbstractThis is an era of globalization, liberalization, and privatization; that’s why the demand for hotels and hotel services is rapidly increasing. As a result, hotel employees face enormous pressure at work. This work pressure causes them stress. Work stress is one of the perils hotel employees are encountering, and it causes a decrease in work efficiency and lower productivity. This study aims to examine the impact of job-related stress on job satisfaction in the context of hotel industries in Odisha because hotel industries purely depend upon emotion. Data were collected by surveying 534 employees consisting of top-level, middle-level, and low-level managers (supervisors, etc.). The results show that occupational stress has a negative impact on job satisfaction. The current study is an eye-opener for the hospitality industry regarding the reduction of stress and improvement of job satisfaction in the context of hotel industries in Odisha.
