Diseases caused by fungi and oomycetes are common in Alabama and can cause economic losses. This study analyzed the efficacy of seed treatments as a management strategy against fungal/oomycete diseases. The field trial was established during the 2025 growing season at the Tennessee Valley Research and Extension Center near Belle Mina, AL. The trial consisted of a single cotton variety and nine seed treatments. All treatments included an application of Gaucho 600 and a colorant. Variables measured were plant stand counts, plant vigor ratings, and lint yield. Results indicated that treatments produced numerical differences in stand count and yield, showing the economic potential of fungicide seed treatments.
