Abstract Modernization of sensitive all-sky imagers is important to continue to improve monitoring of the upper atmosphere. We developed a new compact all-sky imager called TPI (triple pass imager), combining a multi-band-pass filter and a commercial RGB sensor to obtain three-wavelength images at once. We describe the basic concept and performance, showcasing example data obtained during the magnetic storm event on November 12, 2025 at Poker Flat Research Range, Alaska. Graphical abstract
