An archaeological watching brief was maintained during drainage and other groundworks at Lillingstone House in 2024-5. A 19th-century outbuilding range attached to the east side of the House was recorded in the small courtyard there. The buildings are documented on early Ordnance Survey maps. Late post-medieval or 19th-century field drains were observed in several of the new drain trenches. There were no other findings, and no pre-19th-century artefacts were present.
