Abstract: Academic dissemination is moving from “one-way publishing” to “socialized interaction.” Quest Macau (ISSN 3081-1414, eISSN 3081-1422, CODEN: AQABAF, DOI prefix: https://doi.org/10.66106/aqabaf), a gold open-access Chinese-language academic quarterly published by Quest Press Limited, has recently been officially indexed by ResearchGate. As the world's largest academic social platform with over 20 million registered users, ResearchGate is often referred to as the “Facebook for researchers.” Unlike traditional databases, the core value of ResearchGate lies in constructing a two-way dialogue mechanism between researchers and journals. Rooted in Macau, the journal focuses on interdisciplinary and cross-cutting research. All accepted articles undergo rigorous international peer review and are published under the CC BY 4.0 license, making them permanently and freely accessible. Being indexed by ResearchGate will enable the journal to leverage its social dissemination features, establish direct connections with global researchers, and expand the space for interdisciplinary dialogue. This article, taking into account the journal's positioning and characteristics, analyzes the practical value of this indexing for the journal's dissemination.
