ABSTRACT Interest in wellness‐oriented real estate has increased the demand for practical evaluation tools for existing office buildings. While comprehensive systems such as CASBEE–Wellness Office (CASBEE‐WO) provide detailed assessments, their practical application is constrained by the extensive documentation required for evaluation. CASBEE–Wellness Real Estate (CASBEE‐WR) was therefore developed as a simplified framework for broader market adoption. This study examines the internal consistency and practical relevance of CASBEE‐WR using two datasets: 161 CASBEE‐WO–certified properties and 135 office buildings evaluated using the provisional CASBEE‐WR, together with 596 valid tenant survey responses. CASBEE‐WR scores were reconstructed from CASBEE‐WO results to assess internal consistency between the two frameworks. Regression analyses demonstrated a strong linear relationship between CASBEE‐WR and CASBEE‐WO scores. The relationships among CASBEE‐WR scores, subjective evaluations, and overall tenant satisfaction were explored. Logistic regression analysis indicated a positive association between CASBEE‐WR total scores and tenant satisfaction, adjusting for building attributes. Within the observed score range, tenant satisfaction appeared more responsive to score changes at moderate levels, although these findings remain exploratory. The results suggest that CASBEE‐WR may function as a practical wellness evaluation tool for office buildings, highlighting the need for cautious interpretation and further validation using independently assessed CASBEE‐WR data.
