Abstract This study aimed to examine the effect of women's knowledge of pelvic floor health on their sexual quality of life. The sample of this cross-sectional descriptive study consisted of 390 women who visited a health institution in Istanbul between June and September 2023. Data were collected using three instruments: the Women’s Introductory Information Form, the Pelvic Floor Health Knowledge Questionnaire (PFHKQ), and the Sexual Quality of Life-Female (SQOL-F) scale. The correlation analysis revealed a statistically significant positive relationship between the total and subscale scores of the PFHKQ and the SQOL-F scores. The results of the regression analysis examining the relationship between the SQOL-F and the PFHKQ and its sub-dimensions showed that the established model was significant. Multiple regression analysis indicated that a one-unit increase in pelvic floor health knowledge was associated with a 0.15-point increase in the quality of sexual life. These findings suggest that regular training planning in clinics to increase women's knowledge about pelvic floor health or including this issue in public health trainings will be beneficial in terms of increasing the quality of women’s sexual life.
