This study explores the integration of sustainability and ethics in business education with special reference to Satara District, Maharashtra. Business education is increasingly expected to prepare leaders who balance economic growth with social responsibility and environmental stewardship. The research highlights the current status of sustainability modules, ethical courses, and industry-academia collaborations in local colleges. Data reveals partial adoption of sustainability practices, moderate student awareness of ethical frameworks, and limited faculty research in these areas. Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, particularly in livelihood, health, and education, have significantly contributed to strengthening rural education and community development. However, gaps remain in curricular design, experiential learning, and formal partnerships with industries. The study concludes that embedding sustainability and ethics into business education is essential for nurturing responsible leadership. Satara District, with its cooperative traditions and CSR-driven initiatives, offers a valuable model for linking global sustainability goals with local realities.
