The archaeological evaluation comprised 4 trial trenches, each measuring 30m long and 2m wide. Trenches were repositioned in accordance with constraints within the site, namely occupants on the land, occupied dwellings and associated land usage, as well as ecological constraints, namely extant hedge lines, trees and a potential badger sett. The trial trench evaluation revealed no archaeological deposits on the site. Based on the results of the evaluation the archaeological potential and significance of the site would appear to be low, with no focuses of intensive past activity identified.
