ABSTRACT: This review examines Ireland's foreign relations in 2024. The year saw significant changes in Ireland's domestic political scene, with elections at the local, national and European levels. The ongoing conflicts in Gaza and Ukraine continued to present challenges for Ireland's foreign policy. The review begins with an overview of Ireland's changing domestic political environment before outlining relations with the EU, the UK, Northern Ireland, the USA and the rest of the world. It concludes by noting several prominent deaths of individuals who had a significant impact on Ireland's foreign relations in the past.
