Abstract This paper examines modern geosteering techniques and digital control systems in the drilling of oil and gas wells. It analyzes the utilization of real-time data from Logging While Drilling (LWD) and Measurement While Drilling (MWD) systems for the precise placement of wellbores within the most productive zones of a reservoir. Furthermore, the study explores the role of machine learning algorithms in mitigating drilling hazards and increasing the overall commercial speed of drilling operations.
