Abstract
80년 이상 전에 저명한 생화학자 오토 워버그는 암세포가 산소 호흡 조건에서 포도당을 항시 소비하고 젖산을 생성하는 방법을 설명했습니다. 최근 연구들은 암세포가 워버그 효과라고 불리는 이 현상의 이점을 누린다고 주장하여, 암의 원인, 상관관계 또는 촉진자 역할에 대한 논의를 새롭게 하고 있습니다. 이 분야의 분자적 진보는 암세포의 "단맛"을 활용하기 위한 전략을 밝혀낼 수 있습니다.
