The purpose of this study was to analyze students’ written responses to regular exams for each achievement goal of “Teacher Theory” class as one of the teacher training courses which was offered based on “the meaning of the teaching profession and the roles and duties of teachers (including team school management)” in Core Curriculum for Teacher Training introduced by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology’s in 2021. Using two-dimensional scatter plots obtained through correspondence analysis, this article was identified the characteristics of students’ learning achievement and examined strategies for future lesson improvement. The following three main findings were revealed: (1) Creating two-dimensional scatter plots using correspondence analysis enabled a bird's-eye view of the distribution of achievement levels and student numbers for each achievement goal item in the Core Curriculum.” (2) Since similar numbers of students with the same achievement level were plotted nearby, the relationship between achievement level and student number was visually easy to understand, facilitating reflection on educational practice and consideration of lesson improve-ment,. (3) Using two-dimensional scatter plots obtained through correspondence analysis, this research was identified the characteristics of students’ learning achievement and examined strategies for future lesson improvement.
