Historic Building Recording (to level 2) of a derelict bridge across the River Boyd adjacent to the Golden Valley Weir was carried out prior to its removal to facilitate stabilisation of the river bank. The bridge dates from the mid-19th century, possibly the late 1870s, and was probably partially dismantled around 1968. The steel superstructure that supported the (removed) walkway partially survived, along with stone foundations for two parapets on the south bank. The south stone abutment had collapsed into the river.
