This article analyzes the role of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan in monitoring the implementation of adopted laws, existing mechanisms, their effectiveness and institutional shortcomings. State control plays a major role in ensuring the implementation of legislation, since effective control helps to strengthen the legal order and prevents violations of laws. It also presents the experiences used in ensuring the implementation of legislation in developed countries of the world. The USA, Great Britain, Germany and Canada have effective mechanisms for monitoring the implementation of law, including parliamentary oversight, independent audit bodies, electronic control systems and other technological tools. This article provides a detailed description of the legislation and its significance, the process of ensuring the implementation of legislation in Uzbekistan, and the implementation of legislation in the world. The legal framework of the monitoring process, current practice and negative situations are clearly stated, and practical recommendations specific to Uzbekistan are developed based on a comparative study of international experience. The systemic disconnect between the adoption of laws and the control over their implementation has become the weakest point of democratic governance.
