Using the formula of the correlation energy due to Pines, we modify the Thomas-Fermi-Dirac model with the Fermi-Amaldi correction for free atom or ion to include correlations between electrons. By the use of the present model, electron distributions for free Rb+, Kr and Be are calculated, the results are shown graphically, and further the energy components of the total energy are given numerically. 1.
