GERMAN SCIENCEFRANKFURT, GERMANY-- Neuropathologist Oliver BrA¼stle's application to work on human embryonic stem (ES) cells finally cleared the last legal hurdle on 23 December. BrA¼stle, who works at the University of Bonn Medical Center, is the first German researcher to navigate a complex approval process for research on ES cells. It took more than 2 years.
