Chronic diseases remain a leading public health concern in the United States, affecting a majority of adults and disproportionately impacting ethnic minority populations. Among these groups, African immigrants face heightened risks of conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, hyperlipidemia, obesity, and cardiovascular diseases. This study explores the intersection of chronic disease management and cultural nutrition among African immigrants in the U.S., emphasizing how traditional dietary practices influence health outcomes. Despite the high prevalence of chronic illnesses, culturally tailored nutritional strategies remain underutilized in mainstream healthcare systems. Evidence suggests that dietary acculturation, socioeconomic factors, and limited access to culturally appropriate healthcare contribute to poor disease management in this population. Integrating culturally relevant nutritional interventions into chronic disease care may enhance adherence, improve health outcomes, and reduce disparities. This paper highlights the importance of culturally sensitive healthcare approaches and calls for inclusive policies and interventions that recognize the dietary heritage and lived experiences of African immigrants in managing chronic conditions
