The road to carbon neutrality is challenging and requires both energy transformation and digital transformation for the future success. A novel net-zero intelligent energy system (NZIES) is proposed based on multi-energy integration, and a new analytic architecture is designed and proposed with NED transformation strategy model with E2E energy efficiency improvement, full life cycle carbon management and carbon/electricity trading collaboration. The energy pyramid methodology provides theoretical support for the planning and construction of intelligent energy system. Finally, a case study on net-zero smart campus including overall blueprint, phase conditions and planning paths for NZIES is introduced as the practical example for NZIES.
