Abstract 25 μm wide, conductive silver tracks on untreated and unstructured polyimide have been produced by inkjet printing using standard 10 pL printheads. This was achieved by reducing the droplet size to ∼2 pL by tailoring the waveform and by heating the print cartridge and the substrate to 55 °C. A simple formula was used to predict the track width.
