Participants in the corporate responsibility debate frequently find that they have unlikely political allies and opponents. Both conservative (opposing government intervention in the economy) and liberal (favoring substantial government intervention) arguments are made for greater corporate social responsibility. The author explains this paradox and attempts to resolve this ideological confusion.
