The programme of archaeological work comprised the observation by a competent archaeologist of all intrusive groundworks associated with the proposed development. These works comprised the machine stripping of overburden down to the natural substrate for the road and a drainage trench. In September 2025, Cotswold Archaeology carried out a programme of archaeological work during groundworks associated with the construction a new road to support a proposed residential development at Ambrose Farm, Oldbury Road, Worcester. Evidence for the truncation of the site area was recorded within the southern extent of the observed excavation, with no in situ subsoil deposits present within this area. No features or deposits of archaeological interest were observed and no artefactual material was recovered.
