Sc Microalloying Enables Heat-Resistant Aluminum Sc microalloying has emerged as a promising strategy for improving the high-temperature performance of Al–Cu alloys. By coupling fast-diffusing Cu with slow-diffusing Sc through interface segregation and interstitial ordering, Cu-rich precipitates can be effectively stabilized, thereby extending the service temperature range of aluminum alloys to 200–400 °C.
