Secondary hyperparathyroidism is prevalent among individuals with chronic kidney failure and is frequently associated with the occurrence of one or more instances of parathyroid hyperplasia. The presence of ectopic parathyroid glands poses significant challenges for the diagnosis and management of affected patients. Intra-adenomatous ectopic parathyroid glands are exceedingly rare, and their preoperative diagnosis using conventional methods is challenging. This paper presents a case study of an ectopic intrathyroidal parathyroid adenoma that mimicked a thyroid nodule, accompanied by a comprehensive literature review and analysis. The findings offer valuable insights for the diagnosis and treatment of similar cases and aim to enhance clinicians' understanding of this condition.
