The article is devoted to anthropological views in Christianity. Based on the analysis of Christian theological literature, the sources of the anthropological doctrine about man are revealed; the features of God's creation of man, the fall of the first parents, and its consequences; the nature of the human soul, and the meaning of human life. It is concluded that the Christian teachings about the uniqueness of man, created in the image and likeness of God, and the redemptive sacrifice of Jesus Christ, determine the highest meaning of human life as bliss in the Kingdom of Heaven.
