The paper presents the application of the largest short-term Laypunov exponents for the characterization of the epileptic activity on the basis of the observed EEG waveforms. The proposed by authors modified method of Lyapunov exponent estimation for detection and prediction of the seizure on the basis of EEG waveform is presented and discussed. The results of the performed numerical experiments for the recognition of the seizure activity of the brain are demonstrated.
