The Pancha Kosha system, derived from the Taittiriya Upanishad in ancient Indian philosophy, delineates Panch Koshas or Sheaths that encompass human existence: Annamaya Kosha (Physical level), Pranamaya Kosha (Energy level), Manomaya Kosha (mental level), Vijnanamaya Kosha (intellectual level), and Anandamaya Kosha (spiritual level). This holistic framework finds parallels in modern neuroscience, particularly in understanding the mind-body connection and the role of neurological health in well-being. This article explores the possible relationship and comparative study between the Pancha Kosha system and contemporary neuroscience, emphasizing their intersections and insights for integrative approaches in Ayurveda and yoga. With the development of modern neuroscience, attempts are being made to understand these traditional concepts from a scientific point of view.
