ABSTRACT In the process simulation, the choice of calculation methods and the parameter settings significantly influence both the absorption accuracy of organic sulfur and the foundation and scale of intelligent workflows. The study accomplished the process modeling using Aspen HYSYS software. To align with plant requirements, two correction techniques—optimization of parameter settings and updating binary interaction parameters (BIPs) in material library files—were employed to refine the purification plant model. These adjustments minimized deviations between simulation calculations and assessment analysis results to less than 5%. Subsequently, the accuracy and applicability of the modified model under diverse working conditions were validated by comparing and analyzing the corresponding working conditions with actual industrial data. This method provides scientific and reliable support for production decisions, thereby enhancing the intelligent operation level of the purification plant.
