Dinocyst assemblages from the Baysun Formation and the Kugitang Series of the Middle Jurassic are described for the first time from the Shargun’ section, located in the northern part of the southwestern spurs of the Gissar Range. The identified assemblages are attributed to the Callovian and provide new data that complement the extremely limited record of Jurassic dinoflagellate cysts from Eastern Asia.
