The relevance of the financial law development in the space‑time continuum is conditioned by the need to identify reserves and potential of financial and legal means in solving current issues of ensuring the unity of the legal space, developing principles of financial law in space and time, forecasting the space‑time development of Russian financial law, taking into account the main purpose of public finance — ensuring the tasks and functions of the state. The purpose of the study is to show the necessity and possibility of studying financial law based on the provisions of philosophy and philosophy of law about space and time as attributes of matter and legal matter. Research objectives: 1) to review the financial legislation of the Russian Federation in order to consolidate in it the provisions on the operation of financial law norms in time and space; 2) to develop a scientific approach to the definition of financial and legal space and financial and legal time, taking into account the philosophy and philosophy of law; 3) to determine the directions of further research of financial law through the prism of objective financial and legal reality. In the process of preparing the article, a set of scientific cognition methods was used, including general scientific methods (analysis, synthesis, induction, deduction, the method of dialectical materialism, etc.) and special (system‑legal, formal‑legal, legal forecasting, comparative‑legal). Consideration of financial law through the prism of the philosophy of law made it possible to apply philosophical categories to financial and legal reality and to substantiate that financial law as a financial and legal matter has all the attributes of matter, including space and time. The article substantiates that the philosophical approach to the study of financial and legal reality helps to identify the underlying problems of modern Russian financial law, bringing to the surface a number of issues, including conceptual ones, and finding their optimal solutions, and also makes it possible to form a kind of integrity from financial law as a “patchwork quilt” that develops in the space‑time continuum according to its own internal laws.
