Introduction and Objective: Young adulthood is a critical period for establishing diabetes self-management, yet limited evidence describes the psychosocial and behavioral value of CGM for this group. This real-world, observational study evaluated the perceived value, daily life impact, and patterns of Dexcom CGM use among young adults with T1D or T2D. Methods: Dexcom device data and survey responses were analyzed for users aged 18-25 years. Glycemic metrics, CGM use, and feature use were summarized for the prior 3 months. Analyses were stratified by diabetes type, age, gender, pump/AID use, and Dexcom Share use. Between-group differences were assessed. Results: Sample included 405 T1D (mean ± SD age 21± 2 years; diabetes duration 8 ± 6 years; 66% female); and 102 T2D (age 22 ± 2 years; diabetes duration 4 ± 4 years; 80% female) participants. Median IQR duration of Dexcom CGM use was 2.2 years 0.9, 3.7 for T1D vs T2D 0.6 0.3, 1.3; % CGM use was 91% 68, 96 for T1D vs T2D 68% 35, 92. TIR differed (T1D 64% 48, 74 vs T2D 81% 45, 95) but did not influence perceived value. Nearly all users identified reduced fingersticks as the most valued benefit. Share use was 20% among T1D (median followers 2 1,5) and 17% among T2D (2 1,3). Across groups, CGM supported more informed dosing or medication decisions, greater spontaneity, better recognition of food and stress effects, and stronger sense of control and safety. Among T1D, Share users reported greater motivation for physical activity vs non-Share users, and pump/AID users reported higher confidence and stronger support networks vs MDI users (all p0.05). Age- and gender-stratified analyses revealed differences in glycemic patterns, perceived value, and engagement behaviors. Conclusion: Young adults with T1D or T2D reported meaningful psychosocial, behavioral, and daily-life benefits from Dexcom CGM.
