While technical expertise remains central to scientific success, Emotional Intelligence (EI) significantly influences research productivity, laboratory culture, ethical conduct, and innovation. Emotional Intelligence, popularized by Daniel Goleman(1) refers to the ability to recognize, understand, manage, and effectively use emotions in on self and others. This paper explores how EI impacts chemistry research performance, stress management, teamwork, research ethics, and scientific creativity. The study emphasizes the need to integrate EI training within scientific education to enhance research quality and professional development.
