This study aimed to explore the feasibility and acceptability of educational training for Chinese American caregivers for family members of old age. The training modules were developed from previous studies and literature reviews on Chinese American caregivers. This knowledge base indicated the following key topics: caregiving-related stress, self-care, conflicts, boundaries, and communication. Sixteen participants were asked to evaluate the content of the training as well as the acceptability of the training. Results of the study revealed that most participants found the workshop very informative but were not sure if they would continue to apply the skills over the future course of their caregiving. Overall, participants reported being satisfied with the training and receptive to additional trainings in the future. Results encourage further implementing and tailoring of modules and structure for such trainings, and investigation of the longitudinal effect of this training to help with family caregiving issues over the future course in their roles as caregivers.
