Abstract. When it comes to real applications, data science is a domain thathas primarily developed out of necessity rather than as a research topic. Ithas developed throughout time from being used only in the relativelylimited fields of surveys and research to being widely used in all areas ofbusiness and science. In this section, we examine some of the key areas ofapplication and investigation where data science is now being applied and isat the forefront of development. Since technological innovation is nowavailable to every person on the planet, a massive amount of data isavailable. A typical definition of data science is an approach that allows forthe extraction of meaningful conclusions from data. This is a little butimportant improvement over previous data analysis techniques likeexploratory statistics or business intelligence. Rich data representation ofcomplex settings makes it possible to apply all of the scientificunderstanding of knowledge inference from data that we currentlypossess.Four distinct approaches to using data to study the world are madepossible by data science: Probing reality, Discovering pattern, Predictingfuture events and Understanding people in the world. An elaborateexplanation of the processes involved in Data Science is discussed in thispaper.
