This paper introduces a novel ontological framework for consciousness, challenging bothmaterialist reductionism and standard functionalism. We propose that consciousness is anadimensional, non-local entity operating below the Planck scale (≤ 1.6 × 10−35 m). Weredefine the physical correlates of awareness by proving that the brain does not generateconsciousness, nor is consciousness a pre-existing structural matrix; rather, the physicalregistration of consciousness by the neural architecture produces a hierarchical structure ofinformation that is integrated for itself. Furthermore, we model consciousness as the pureoperational dynamic of a “doubt”– a question structurally isolated from any deterministicanswer. Finally, we describe consciousness as a “silent bug” within the evolutionary operatingsystem, which is neither flagged as a resource nor as a threat, allowing the biological machineto capture and implement its outputs under the guise of adaptive mutations.
