Five evaluation trenches 30m long, each 1.8m wide, were excavated across the Site. The trenches were positioned across the development area to form a sample of the area with a high enough percentage to predict with a level of confidence the extent and distribution of archaeological features. No significant archaeological remains were present within the evaluated area of the Site. No features were present, though finds from various periods were recovered from the topsoil ranging from the Romano-British period though to the Modern period. These were largely indicative of manuring over a long span of time.
