Abstract This article introduces the Law of Temporal Aperture within the HoloGenesis framework. The law proposes that time is not a clock, a substance, or an independent background parameter. Time is the ordering flow-rate of frequency-events through the spacetime lattice. A clock does not produce time. A clock samples the local rate at which frequency-change, decay, propagation, oscillation, and structural updating are permitted to unfold. In General Relativity, gravitational time dilation is described geometrically. Clocks run more slowly near stronger gravitational sources because spacetime curvature modifies proper time. HoloGenesis accepts this metric behavior but proposes a deeper mechanical interpretation. Mass is understood as wrapped frequency loading the lattice. This loading increases local curvature-density tension and saturates the lattice. The result is not that a mysterious substance called time slows down. Rather, the local flow of frequency-events is obstructed. The temporal aperture narrows, and physical processes unfold more slowly relative to a more relaxed region. This interpretation continues earlier HoloGenesis treatments of mass, gravity, wrapped frequency, and lattice curvature. See: https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.16927438 and https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.20633005 The article distinguishes local temporal compression from cosmic temporal relaxation. Locally, stronger mass-curvature saturates the lattice and narrows frequency-event throughput. Cosmically, the early universe begins in a dense roof-loaded condition where the realized density of the lattice stands close to its upper capacity. As the lattice expands, realized density dilutes toward a nonzero floor condition. The active excess density decreases, and the global cosmic tempo relaxes. This density-based reconstruction extends the HoloGenesis treatment of the Hubble rate and coherence age. See: https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.20765069 and https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.20765235 This gives HoloGenesis a unified interpretation of time-rate. The Hubble rate is not only an expansion parameter. It becomes the cosmic coherence tempo of the age-diluted lattice. Gravitational time dilation is not only a metric effect. It becomes the local narrowing of frequency-event throughput under curvature load. General Relativity measures the reduction of proper time geometrically. HoloGenesis interprets that reduction as the narrowing of frequency-event flow through a saturated spacetime lattice.
