Abstract RS Unimedika Setu Bekasi faces challenges in the availability of drugs that are not always sufficient for patient needs, thus encouraging this study to analyze the drug inventory management system and identify factors that influence drug availability. The study was conducted using a qualitative descriptive approach, using data collection methods through in-depth interviews, direct observation, and document review. Data were analyzed through three stages, data reduction, data presentation, and verification, to obtain accurate conclusions regarding the drug management system. The study results indicate that the drug management system at RS Unimedika is not yet fully optimal. Drug planning is carried out based on previous consumption trends but has not implemented ABC-VEN analysis systematically. Drug procurement often experiences obstacles due to budget constraints, resulting in a mismatch between the plan and the realization of procurement. Drug storage has followed the FIFO and FEFO principles, but expired drugs are still found due to minimal monitoring. Drug distribution is carried out in a decentralized manner, but there is often a shortage of generic drugs. The destruction of expired drugs is by regulations, but there are still limitations in infrastructure and human resources. Therefore, it is necessary to improve the drug management system by applying more systematic planning methods, increasing budget allocation, and optimizing drug storage and distribution monitoring to ensure better drug availability in hospitals.
