Grahani Roga is a chronic gastrointestinal disorder frequently encountered in clinical practice and elaborately described in Ayurvedic texts. It is primarily rooted in the dysfunction of Agni and the accumulation of Ama, leading to altered digestion and absorption. Nagaradi Kwath, a classical formulation mentioned in Bhaishajya Ratnavali, holds a significant place in the treatment of Grahani. This review compiles classical references, pharmacological understanding, and therapeutic potential of Nagaradi Kwath. The decoction, with its Deepana (digestive), Pachana (carminative), and Grahi (absorbent) actions, directly addresses the pathogenesis of Grahani.
