A Facelift is a common type of cosmetic surgery that involves improving visual signs of aging in face and neck that involves the removal of excess facial fat, the tightening of facial muscles, and the trimming or red raping of facial skin to approximate a smoother, firmer facial appearance. There are many kinds of facelift surgeries depending on which areas of the face and neck are targeted such as Traditional facelift, SMAS facelift, Deep plane facelift, Cutaneous (skin) facelift. In all techniques Possible complications associated with facelifts may include Nerve injury, Infection-anesthesia reaction and Scarring. Anatomical damage, especially nerve injury, is very important because it affects the post-op surgery and it can reduce the patient's quality of life. In this review study, we are going to examine the anatomical damage of the nerve in face lift surgery and compare its different methods.
