Parkinson’s disease (PD) and osteoarthritis are progressive degenerative conditions that reduce quality of life. This study evaluates patient-reported outcomes in total hip and total knee arthroplasty in PD patients. A systematic review of the literature was conducted following PRISMA guidelines. Eight studies (1912 joints: 890 PD, 1,022 controls) were included. PD patients showed significant or clinically meaningful improvements in pain, function, and quality of life in all eight studies. Overall, patient satisfaction was comparable between groups. These results demonstrate that PD patients experience meaningful benefits from hip or knee arthroplasty.
