This study is devoted to the identification of the milestones in bilateral Turkish-American relations in 2010-2024. The Kurdish issue, the corrosion of allied relations within NATO, and the economic factor run like a red thread through the entire period under study, having a significant impact on the frequency and nature of bilateral interactions. The evolution of relations between Turkey and the United States demonstrates a complex dynamic driven not only by the internal political processes in both countries, but also by changing external threats and challenges. The researcher focused on the deterioration of bilateral relations after the events of the Arab Spring, including the Syrian crisis, disagreements over the Kurdish issue and Turkeys purchase of Russian S-400 air defense systems, which led to significant friction in the relations within NATO. The study analyzes the consequences of these events for economic interaction, including changes in the trade balance, increased rule-making in the economic sphere, as well as the impact on military cooperation between the two countries. The article highlights the influence of internal and regional factors, such as the attempted coup in Turkey, the strengthening of its military industrial complex and the change in its geopolitical role. A retrospective analysis revealed the problematic areas in cooperation at the current stage. Ankara uses the discourse of multipolarity as a foreign policy bargaining tool. The findings emphasize the strengthening of Turkey’s foreign policy autonomy, its role in regional conflicts and its influence on the balance of power within NATO.
