Serum lipids, blood pressure, and magnesium levels in serum and erythrocytes have been measured in 73 men and women, aged 60. The purpose was to evaluate the relationship between the serum and erythrocyte magnesium and indicators of ischaemic heart disease. The results showed significant inverse correlations between serum magnesium levels and PB, and positive significant correlation between erythrocyte magnesium and serum cholesterol.
