In 1958 the then US AEC authorized planning and studies for an experimental harbor excavation called Project Chariot. A site at the mouth of Ogotoruk Creek near Cape Thompson on the northwestern coast of Alaska was selected for detailed study. This report contains those detailed studies on the physical and biological environment of the Cape Thompson are necessary to establish an ecological baseline. (ACR)
