Cross sections for absorption of radiation between 190 and 700 nm are given for N 2 O, NO 2 , NO 3 , N 2 O 4 , N 2 O 5 , HNO 2 , and HNO 3 . The quantum yields and the primary products of photolysis of each of these substances are discussed. This article includes spectral data obtained in this laboratory for NO 2 , NO 3 , N 2 O 3 , HNO 3 , and HNO 3 and it includes spectral data from the literature for N 2 O and N 2 O 4 . The quantum yields are based both on results from this laboratory and from the literature.
