Studies are made of the changes in the transition temperature and critical current of the superconductors Nb/sub 3/Sn, V/sub 3/Ga, and V/sub 3/Si in transverse magnetic fields up to 10 kOe and pressures of 0 to 1650 kg/cm/sup 2/ , using the ice-bomb technique. (T.F.H.)
