The rescue and revitalization of provides a benchmarking opportunity for how business leaders can help meet the challenge of renewing our cities. This article addresses four questions: What is the role of business leaders in urban revitalization? How can business leaders organize themselves effectively for collective action? What are the key considerations in formulating a community development strategy? How can such a strategy be best implemented? These questions are examined by focusing on the experience of the business CEO organization Cleveland Tomorrow, which has played a major role for over two decades in the rebirth of Cleveland.
