An energy balance argument is given which indicates that the introduction of any random component to the flux in the f=(1/2 (fully) frustrated XY model in two dimensions, destroys the long-range chiral ordering of the ground state by favoring the creation of chiral domains. Thus the addition of a random flux to this model either renders the ordered phase reentrant or destroys it altogether.
