It is shown that starting from the usual canonical formalism for the electromagnetic interaction of a charged vector meson with arbitrary magnetic moment one is led to a set of rules for Feynman diagrams, which appears to contain terms that are both infinite and noncovariant. These difficulties, however, can be circumvented by introducing a -limiting process which depends on a dimensionless positive parameter 0. Furthermore, by using the mathematical artifice of a negative metric the theory becomes renormalizable (for >0).
