A CASE OF acute plasmocytic leukemia is presented because of its rarity and because of its significant subjective and objective response to cyclophosphamide (Cytoxan). In the related disease, plasmocytic myeloma,1-8where the therapeutic effect is more difficult to measure, many therapeutic agents have been tried, including cyclophosphamide.9,10The striking response of this patient's disease to cyclephosphamide supports the observations reported in patients with plasmocytic myeloma. Report of a Case A 54-year-old woman was admitted to the Multnomah County Hospital, Portland, Ore, on Dec 5, 1963, because of back pain.
